Fox suggests that the darkness of Black Madonna is a shriek for fanatics to enter their own darkness. According to Fox, the darkness that she calls us to is the darkness of the soul where we can ascertain the pith of asset. Darkness and Wisdom in the Shack
In The Shack, Jesus sends Mack down a track and tells him to enter where it ends. He adventured a couple of small treads into the inky gloom and stopped. Eckharts quote refers to a mutual idea among mystics that it is in darkness where fact lies.
