SOUTH GATE -- A horse so emaciated she could barely get her head up for a drink of water had to be euthanized last month, but authorities haven't given up on finding the person who dumped her in the street.
The reward fund is up to $8,000, thanks to $2,500 each from Minnesota Vikings defensive end [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Humane Society of the United States and EAG Sports Management. Southeast Area Animal Control Authority Director Aaron Reyes says an anonymous donor sent $500.
The horse was found July 22 next to a gutter in South Gate,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], about 10 miles south of Los Angeles.
The horse tried to drink and ate an apple one officer gave her, but veterinarians said she was suffering so they put her down.
Allen played high school football at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill and Los Gatos High School.
