Stanley orders the book in nine chapters that educates the uneducated consumer. In short,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he proffers that what looks like rich is often a sign of the highly indebted. With chapters like "The Difference between Being Rich and Acting Rich" and "Do the Shoes Make the Man?", the message can get a little redundant but considering the stakes, its worth a close read. Fortunately, Stanley's writing style makes this easy for his reader,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], though I found myself frequently referencing back to decode acronymed archetypes and wealth equations.
The book cover jacket of Stop Acting Rich has a huge silhouette of Benjamin Franklin's U.S. dollar profile picture and gigantic cover type that reads like a shout to "Stop Acting Rich". After subduing the urge to remove the cover jacket,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I found myself willfully wielding its power by sitting for a spell at a local coffee shop and chuckling at the curious glance or two. This just may be the message an uber-consumptive society needs to hear.

Also the author of The Millionaire Next Door,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Stanley uses an arsenal of statistics to demystify wealth-building. He reveals that this often has nothing to do with power purchasing or the size or price of your house(s) and car(s). The majority of millionaires are not living a bling culture. They do not spend their money with abandon on expensive wines, jewelry, or overpriced goods -- as the non-rich often believe. Instead, Stanely's data reveals something different. The big S word: they are Savers.
